Gather 'round, Belieflings! Tonight we slither into the strange waters of American monster lore, where river serpents rise from muddy depths and roadside nightmare scarecrows come to life and lunge from the darkness!
First, we dissect the legend of the Clermont Serpent - a massive Ohio River beast said to haunt mill ponds, caves, cornfields, and steamboat routes from 1847 to 1879. The panicked townsfolk arm themselves and begin the great Ohio River Monster hunt of the 19th century!
Then, we hit the haunted asphalt of Riverside, California, where in 1958 Charles Wetzel claimed to have a vehicular run-in with a a scarecrow-headed, long-armed, clawed creature with a very unusual and disturbing face.
So strap on your serpent wranglin' duds and let's dive into the Ohio!
