We Need Your Voice!
We’re recording our Season 8 premiere this Wednesday, and we’ve got something special lined up. The episode dives into a strange set of pilot transmissions - the kind recorded in the moments before the poor souls were seemingly plucked straight out of the sky.
However, The original audio is hard to discern and we need your help to bring it back to life!
So here’s the call:
We’d love a any of our wonderful Aussie listeners to read some lines for us so we can recreate these significant moments with clearer audio and without losing too much of the original dialect and tone. For this particular reenactment, we need a couple of dudes. (Sorry ladies, we'll get you next time! 🙌)
We’ll include the dialogue and links to the original recordings so you can hear how the pilot and radio tower operator sounded so you can match the feel as closely as you like. Check out the Script Requests now.

If you can get this to us by Thursday, 7:00 AM wherever you are in Australia, we’ll be able to react to your take at time of our recording, but if you miss the deadline by a day, we might still be able to stitch it in later ;)
Recording Tips (super important!):
- Use a mic if you have one — even a basic USB mic is great. If not, a phone will do.
- Record indoors, in a quiet room.
- Don't move around, keep pets from walking through, avoid ambient noise.
- You can reply to this email and attach your recording.
- When you reply, let us know what name (if any) you'd like us to use to credit you on the show.
